Mini Belt Sander Uses
Mini belt sanders or air sanders (also referred to as air file sanders) are portable tools often used for small, tight spaces that would be hard to grind for a flap disc or grinding wheel. Mini belt sanders are commonly used to remove spot welds and grind small details.
These particular belts are closed coat aluminum oxide. Closed coat aluminum oxide is designed to be used on harder materials such as steel, aluminum, copper, nickel, titanium, and hardwood.
What Sanders Are These Belts Compatible With?
Our ½ x 24 inch air file sanding belts will work with any mini belt sander that uses 1/2x24” belts. Popular mini belt sanders with these dimensions include the JET Mini Belt Sander and the Chicago Pneumatic Belt Sander. If you’re not sure what size belt your sander needs, you can check the specs with the manufacturer. Alternatively, if you have an old belt, you can cut the belt, lay it flat, and measure it to determine the dimensions.
