2x72 Inch 3M Cubitron II Ceramic Grinding Belts
Time is money. That’s why metalworkers around the world count on fast-cutting, long-lasting 3M™ Cubitron™ II Abrasives. These premium abrasives belts are powered by 3M Precision-Shaped Grain — the result of decades of technological advances in ceramic abrasive and microreplication technologies. As the triangular shaped grain wears, it continuously fractures to form sharp points and edges that slice through metal, wear evenly and provide super-long life and consistency at any grinding pressure.
The bottom line: 3M™ Cubitron™ II Abrasives cut faster, last longer, and help lower your production costs.

Overall, the benefits of using Cubitron belts include reduced operator fatigue, higher cut rates, and a longer belt life. The secret to Cubitron’s unrivaled performance is the revolutionary triangle-shaped abrasive grains. Conventional ceramic belts are produced with grains that are blocky and irregular. These grains get the job done, but aren’t as precise or efficient in the way that they cut (often gouging or plowing through material). Cubitron’s microreplicated triangular structures cut with precision like a knife and continuously fracture to leave points and edges sharp for enhanced performance throughout the lifetime of the belt.
Tests have found Cubitron belts to last up to four times longer than conventional ceramic belts. Cubitron belts also average up to 30% faster cutting hard-to-grind metals than the next best competitive belt.

Belts should be stored and used with care to prevent premature breaking. Cubitron ceramic belts should be stored in a room with temperatures between 60-80ºF and humidity levels between 35-50%. Belts should be hung on a rack above the floor and away from heaters and air ducts to prevent moisture from damaging the belts.
For belt use, belts should be carefully mounted to an appropriate machine using the machine’s proper safety guards. You should also avoid exceeding the maximum operating speed of the belt.
